TSP-tools.jpg (126437 bytes) TSP is the best defense to control the spread of orchid virus.

v1.JPG (181744 bytes) These photos are all from  Phal. Paifangs Queen'Brother', it tested positive for CYMV. It is difficult to tell if a plant is infected just by looking, many eronious symptoms. I had a stem from this in flask for over a year and this ring spotting appeared in the flask. This had to be caused by the CYMV. v2.JPG (163768 bytes)

Host of Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus And Impatiens Necrotic Spot Virus I placed this here to give an example of how many different species a virus will infect. I believe that if CyMV or any other of the orchid virus were tested on a similar number of potential host plants that we would see many more possible indicator plants.

Picture of mild mosaic causing new leaf crinkle This is a symptom I see on different indicators for CyMV
