STEWART LEADS SOUTHWEST OVER RAMS

Stewart scored a career-high 25 points to lead visiting Southwest past Coral Park,
66-49. Stewart came off the bench to ignite the Eagles in the first quarter. Tied
2-2 with 3 minutes left in the period, Stewart scored 8 points to give the Eagles
(8-8, 6-5) a 10-2 lead after one quarter. The junior outside shooter scored 8
more points in the second quarter and had 16 of the team's 20 points at one point.
Michael Juachon joined the scoring parade in the third period with 10 points as
Southwest blew the game open with a 28-point quarter that had the Rams (6-11,
5-5) trailing, 53-28. A strong Eagles defense held Coral Park to 7 field goals
over the first three periods. Stewart had a chance to reach the 30-point mark,
but sat the bench for the final 5:16 of the game. Juachon had 8 rebounds and Kristian
Godoy recorded 5 assists.
