EAGLES EDGE BRADDOCK
REMAIN UNDEFEATED

Southwest, ranked nine spots behind Braddock in the Miami Herald's pre-season rankings, upset the visiting Bulldogs, 47-39. The Eagles (3-0, 3-0) won the game on the foul line, making 17 of 22 free throws. It was a tight battle through three quarters with neither team's lead ever exceeding 4 points. Braddock (2-3, 0-3) led 16-15 after one period, Southwest led 24-22 at the half, and the Eagles had a 33-30 lead entering the final quarter. The Bulldogs tied the score at 33 with 6:23 remaining before Southwest went on a 6-0 run to take a lead it never relinquished. Highlights of the fourth quarter were a 3-point play by Alex Mola with 4:37 on the clock, a backdoor layup by Michael Juachon at 1:21, and another Juachon basket 31 seconds later off a beautiful feed by Gio Gonzalez. Leo Torres had 6 boards while Gonzalez and Ray Lleonart had 5 rebounds each. Lleonart added 3 assists and 4 steals. The scoring:
